i've looked at this forum a few times and all these vehicles look awesome

what exactly is an expedition vehicle??

is it just an off-road vehicle used for a certain purpose?? rescue,camping etc.... and not just to play around on the weekend

Usually it is a vehicle specifically designed for on or off road use for long periods and distances with little or no support from the usual facilities found in civilization. I think that sort of sums it up. It's end use can vary wildly (rescue, exploration, touring, etc.) but it's basic requirement is to be self sufficient for long periods.
