The new Pirate4x4 Media/Expedition Van!

Picked up this peach today. It's an '86 Quadravan with 351W/C6/NP205 Dana 44/Dana 60. It was a senior citizen shuttle operated by the state of Nevada. It's in pretty damn good shape for its age.

The plan for it is to make it into a rolling media center for event coverage, and some exploring. It will get a full makeover - Blue Torch fab wrap job, Fox 3" shocks, 33" BFG KM2s, Pro Comp rims, bumpers, winch, suspension seats, media desk/office area, roof rack, roof top mounted Satellite dish (motosat) fuel injection conversion, overdrive, etc.

funny that, I was just thinking the van craze is about due to return. two of the guys at PolyPerf have vans as their tow rigs and desert campers. didn't billybob have one to tow his junk?

hmmm, time to go search craigslist.

Here are few more pics. It IS clean... I has a crappy Earl Schieb paint job on it, but the body is super straight. We will be giving it another Earl Schieb paint job (black, of course) and then will wrap the whole thing with a sick Pirate4x4 wrap designed by Blue Torch Fab.

Fred, yep, BB has a Quigley.

I dig it...but that is why I am having Sportsmobile put together a wheelchair accessible 4x4 van for Disabled Explorers right now.
I am really interested to see how you lay out the working interrior. Any plans for a raised roof?
