the angle i wanted my CO's to lean in (11 degrees) the master cylinder was in the way. like, right where the shock body needed to be. it will be a fair amount of work to move it over 2.5-3 inches, but thats what has to be done.
it didnt actually hit the booster, just the MC. the firewall is angled to the point where it points the MC towards the engine, which makes it even worse. i feel like 11 degrees of lean on the co's is a good compromise between cornering stability and straight line bump absorption. the 3 link doesnt have any natural tendency to resist roll like a radius arm or a parallel 4 link, so i needed to compensate for that by angling the shocks in more than normal. in general- the more vertical the co's are, the better they will absorb bumps at speed. the more angle they have, the better their ability to resist body roll. anyone know of anyone that makes custom AC lines? |

![]() once i can get some sort of doubler together, (black box/205 or 203/205) it should be perfect fit. the way it is now, the dshaft clears and everything, but it will be much better when i get a doubler ![]() 1.75 hrew through the frame. both the frame braces are like this. tight fit. also had enough room to push the drivetrain up 1.5" ![]() next ill finish my boatsides and the cage, since i now have a sturdy frame to build off of. I got tired of seeing the mediocre xmembers that bolt to the bottom or sides of the frame rail and offer very little structural support to the frame. So I think it will work well. :fingerscrossed: DROID...

Mini update
The frame gets about an inch and a half smaller in cross section height from any other point on the frame right here. So I thought since I want this to do everything crawling/gofast, and its really heavy. I fixed a potential weak spot when I fly this pig ![]() Then I added a gusset.. or 6 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DROID...

i dont really see any overkill, maybe the plating on the frame, but it's a heavy truck. i kind of have an idea on what your wanting to accomplish with your truck, so i personally do not see any overbuilt areas on your truck. this may sound "einstein-ish" but, everything is relative; are you wanting to crawl the curb at the local mall? if so, just put a few tac welds on everything. wanting to survive weeks on end out in the desert while continually beating on your rig? better make sure the modifications you've performed are the LAST thing that breaks/ wears out. i believe you will agree for the most part. i was going to pick up a working c6 and 205 tomorrow, but its 3 hours away and i dont need it for another few months, running out of money, and would rather spend the 6 hours working on my truck instead of driving... ![]() i basically have everything bought that i need to finish, but there is always little shit that makes you go broke.
