I run yukon 35 spline outers with drive flanges (slugs). Stock 35 spline inners so far. I have not beat on the truck very hard with the 44''s yet though. I flogged it with the 42''s.

The arms will pivot in an arc - upward and backward. You do not want to start cutting into the back side of the fender, there isn't much room there. I say leave it, you need the room and the approach angle is worth it.

![]() ![]() worked on the front end of the truck alllllll fawkin day. theres ALOT you gotta cut out for 7 inches of uptravel with 24" belly height ![]() unfortunately all i took a picture of was the frame side panhard mount.. and its only one side of it... dam i work slow.. but everything clears just perfectly. ![]() however, i could get another half inch of uptravel, maybe an inch. if i give the oil pan a little love tap from the BFH ![]() i think ill put a little dent in it tomorrow for that last little bit. pics.. who needs a fancy plasma cutter when youve got torch skills ![]() jk ![]() ![]() ![]() my ultra bling blangin panhard mount that clears the steering box bolt..

full bump. if there was a way to get any more up travel, well... i would've done it. (aside from making a completey new crossmember, and i would still only gain another inch)
as it sits, i have 7.5 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() dont let teh pics fool you.. theres only 1.25 inches between the top of the axle tube and the bottom of the crossmember. just need to start making my panhard brackets, and ill get the 3rd link in sometime too. hopefully my shocks come in soon its been almost 5 weeks...

...........__o ______/.....\__ this would be if you are looking at it from the front towards the back. also, to keep my front anti dive within reason i have to cut into the floor for the frame side of the upper control arm. 9.5 inches of separation at the axle end is the least i could get. with as much uptravel that it has, ill end up cutting a significant amout of the cross member out, for the upper link. the whole front part of the x member is gone already, so i'll definitely need to reinforce it, and make my coilover hoops very stout and a heavy engine cage to regain the strength that i lost in the engine x member. and yea, i ordered fox coilovers. so i guess 4 - 6 weeks is standard build time, plus shipping. if theyre this slow, then i guess i should hurry and order some emulsion shocks for the back too.

are you going bigger with the tires? all that choppin' is going to make a lot of room!

my "plan" is to go with about a 40" tire. a friend of mine has a set of 4:88's with about 500 miles on them, ill pry buy those soon. but i'd really like to get an arb for the rear and sell my detroit while im swapping the gears out.
so yes, im trying to build it the best i can to handle 39-40 tire in the future. maybe next spring.

i've got my cage design all planned out too, so ill start on that this weekend. its gonna be *kinda* an exo sorta thing. picked up some battery cable too so i can move my batteries behind the cab, and free up some room under the hood for my PS cooler and make room for the shock towers. lots to do!

actually no lol... but i know its gonna be alot of work to keep the ac working and still keep the engine serviceable, so removable shock towers will be necessary..
but those 600ppi springs are some heavy things. hopefully mess with it more this weekend
