![]() sorry... i like pictures of welds ![]() and just showing that there is no cracks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i dont trust welding steel to nodular iron in its entirety, so i felt this gusset should help reduce the stress the casting will see. along with my upper link mounts utilizing a large contact patch... we shall see... |

I think that this guy bought if off the A-hole that use to own it and he's just trying to fix the PO's fuck ups and get it on the trail...
Hope he got it for a good price though cause the sides are cut to shit and back.

got a box in the mail..
i hate peanuts ![]() ![]() but there was a happy ending ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() hopefully i can still get a degree or two of shock angle up front. it's tighter than nun pussy in there ![]() seriously though. i hope the tires clear the shocks when flexed, because my only other option is moving the brake system some how. well see i guess. |

not missing anything. i tried and tried and tried... to get a hoop for each shock to work, but the ford engineers didnt want it to happen. so i had to think like i was building the halo for a roll cage, and then tonight ill add the "A" and "B" pillars.
somehow ORD made actual hoops for their CO's, but they were 14" and their final ride height is WAY higher than mine. edit: on the UA f250 Last edited by prosport33; 05-16-2012 at 05:44 AM. |

I'm getting ready to put RuffStuff's panhard bar kit on my 95 F350.... Fuck, that's gonna be a pain in the ass.
![]() Not sure how I'm gonna get everything packaged correctly, and keep my coils. I don't have the bling for the c/o's yet, so for now, I'm running my coils. You were smart to go with c/o's from the get-go. Too bad you went with Fox ![]() How long is your panhard bar looking to be? I've got a 4" lift on my truck, and I'm planning on matching the drag link length. However, it's gonna be a pain in the ass. More pics of your cut to shit crossmember? I'm trying to decide how to do mine

after a thorough looking at my brake and AC components, and where my CO's currently are. im going to relocate the round black ac cylinder thing? evap. canister???
and the whole brake assembly to the driver side as far as possible. prob about 3'' max is all i can get. i should be able to get 7-9* of shock angle when i do this. 1. my ac lines leaked when igot the truck, so ill just have a new one custom made. 2. i really didnt think this was going to be this much work to build a truck

![]() measuring from the back vertical part of the xmember to the front. i cut out roughly 2.5 inches of xmember. ![]() if you wanna picture what 16" of vertical travel looks like, then imagine the tracbar coming within a 1/4" of the oil pan... ![]() moar pics for ptranger ![]() yes, the gaping hole in the middle is necessary.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i dont think my xmember is going to last for an extended period of time, but it will have to do for a little while. its hard to fit 9.75 inches of vertical seperation 3 link on a truck that will only have 3 inches worth of lift ![]() once i delete my brake system ill take pics of full bump and all that junk after i get the shocks re- situated

Thanks for the pics.
I was hoping to not have to cut that much out of my x-member ![]() Of course, I don't have links like you do, and I don't think I'm gonna have that much up-travel. Yay! Looks like I get to pull my engine up a little bit when I do my steering!

i really cant see how you will possibly need to cut as much as i have out of the xmember.
or any for that matter. your best option may be to fab your own tracbar mounts if you are setup to do that much fab. i guess i forgot to mention that my draglink and tracbar are 40 inches. thats a good bit longer than stock tho... let me know if theres anything i can do to help out. if you give me the measurement for the bottom of your crossmember to the top of your axle tube, i can set mine up and try to brainstorm a few things to help ease the thought of hacking your x member like you think youll have to. |
