78 250 build

So I have had this truck about 15 years, and have done nothing with it but drive it around in the woods not too much serious wheeling . Found this site last year and WOW allot of things that I have been missing out on .
Been lurking and reading up Time to transform the truck ...
plans are raise about 4 inches from stock add some 37 H1 take offs 60 in the front and cut the body if needed and make it into a fun truck with more potential
currently has a 44/60 with lockers 400m c6 205 nothing special

Nice start. The 70s Fords are my favorite. Can't wait to see where this goes. Now get to work!

Good start. I would add some horizontal gussets to the frame mounts on that bumper.

Nice bumper. I like the fact that it is almost flush and fully functional.

Grants Pass huh i work there/here during the week.

So any plans for a front bumper? And i might be interested in your 44 locker if you part the axle out later on. And if you ditch the inner fender wells and slight trim you can fit 37s on there with a leveling kit, especially if you run stock H1's

I have ditched the inters already and clipped the front fender
Next is a front bumper with winch " home built "
before I get too carried away I need to address the heads as a valve job is in order

By "address the heads" do you mean "swap in a 385 series"

While you have it apart, I would consider a cam swap. Short of changing pistons to bump the low compression, I believe that is one of the best things you can do to wake up a 400.
