need help identifing a big block
need help identifing a 429 cobra jet
bought a wrecker , the guy told me it was a cobrajet motor. it does have a intake with the big ports on it. can some one direct me to where the numbers are on this block and heads and how to indetify them. thanks in advance.

if it has cobrajet heads.....look between the exhaust ports right next to the valve cover.....IF they are cobrajet you will see D00E
Im not sure about the block, i think they just used a D0VE block with stonger rods...im not sure anyway the cobrajet heads had 2.24? 1.8? valves and around 70 cc chambers. They go for a pretty penny. SO if you really got a CJ motor, you got a deal. Although these heads are not much good for power below 3-4000 compared to stdrd c8, c9, or D0VE heads |
