Front spring pad width on '99-'04 4x4 Super Duty?
I've been searching in Ford under "pad", and looked through the D60 bible, but have not found anything yet. Pissin' me off!
I just wanna know what the gawldamn front spring pad width (perch to perch) on a '99-'04 4x4 Super Duty is! Anybody know FOR SURE? If I knew where one was, I'd go measure the sumbitch myself. Thanks in advance.

Awesome. Well, sort of awesome. Thanks for the replies. I knew there was going to be one fart smucker to say three fucking inches. Just sad to see it was you Ranger!
![]() Was just thinking it would be better to put a 87-91 KPHP 60 under a SD/Excursion, but those are ~36" (maybe 36.5" ). Not like the springs would hard to move that much inboard to meet up with the axle. Of course, a matching rear would be incorporated as well. Maybe if I ever get that far down that road I'll just swap on Deadenbear C's and knuckles and such....

Yeah. When I order parts for one-off stuff like that I always call and make sure it's all gonna work together.

Well I measured and measured and measured again, factory spring width is 37 3/4 inches exactly from pin center to pin center. I measured so many times cuz I needed it to be 36 for the kit I used on my sas. my axle is from an 03 f-350 and I am 100% sure its 37 3/4 inches.

oh and there is only one spring pad you can move. driver side its casted into the housing. I filled it in on the driverside and drilled it to where I needed it. also had to shave the side of the housing in order for u bolts to be straight. The passenger pad was easy, its just welded on.
