Post Strange idea, cause I'm too cheap.....

Has anyone ever heard of someone matting two BW1350 transfercases together??? I've got a couple of spares, could it work? This would't be a problem, but I'm too damn cheap/broke to buy an AtlasII......Thanks-

I have looked into this cause i have a spare t case as well. I think it is possible to do it. Here is what i discovered when i looked into it, keep the length under 6.5 inches to keep from hitting the gas tank (86 longbed). Take out put shaft from extra box cut about 2 " of the shaft then cut down and respline 25 splines. The problem I ran into was by looking at it when you turned the out put shaft down to the right diameter it left you a wall thinkness of about a 1/8 of an inch. Plus the machine shop I went to want $1000 to do this. I think he just didn't want to do it but didn't want to say it outright. Also cut the front input off the extra box and just remove the chain. seems to shift fine with out it. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Matt

One more thing Tom Campell on the rrorcboard built one for a buggy but haven't heard anything more about it in the last 3 months or so.

Tom is on the boards every once in a while he is from ohio. Last I heard was he was going to sell the kit for around a grand or so. Jim Oaks or some of the other ohio guys may be able to get you in contact with him. Give me a few days on the parts trying to figure out my finances right now. being a job less college student takes some time to find the money.
