Rear axle identification

Hi everybody,
I have been trying for a long time now to identify the rear axle on my truck (1998 4WD B2500 Mazda), but with no success .
I know that truck is supposed to be similar to the Ford Ranger, but for sure that reat axle is not a 7.5" or 8.8".
I would greatly appritiate any help,
Thanks,
Ami

Im pretty sure that only the 8.8 and 7.5 were the only axles ever put under the rear of your pseudo ranger. The mazda b series of that year used ford axles, mostly the 7.5 due to the 2.5l 4cyl. The front diff should be the ifs version of the dana 35. Of neither of these axles is in the rear of your truck it was definitely swapped in. Also get your pics working. You cannot post them from your harddrive they have to be hosted somewhere online from where you can link to them.

Thanks,

As far as I know, the axle is the stock one. I am just guessing here, but probably this is how the B series intended to be exported to Israel were assemled originally.

Anyhow, I'm posting these links, in which some photos of the axle can be found, and again, thanks for any help:

Do you know where your truck was built? That is not a Ford axle.

If your engine is the 4.0L V-6 then it is the 8.8 . If it is the 4cyl then 7.5 . The 3.0L I'm not sure of. May depend on if with Towing Package.

It looks like a AISIN axle - as used by Toyota, Nissan, Mazda in various different axle models. Any chance that your truck is the same as a older model US truck? Like before they were made by FORD?? Post some pictures to the outside of your truck?
