Just installed 6" lift last week, and my drivers side r. arm, w. poly bushings, continues to squek despite being torqued really hard (the bushings are pinched real hard...torque wrench broken) comp. to pass. side which isnt torqued nearly as much, yet is quiet! Any ideas? Would spray lithium grease work?
Thanks |

I don't know but I torque mine really loose and they don't make noise I just tighten them enough i can get the cotter pin in. maybe grease would help but mine are dry. unless you count the engine's self oiling feature.

I can tell ya if you have um cranked down that hard you are limiting the flex on that are greatly.. energy makes a lube for poly, never tried it, but it is advertised to reduce noise from poly bushings

I have mine tighten up quiet a bit. and they don't make any noise at all. I can actually hang off them.
I know thats probably way to tight.

Double check that the bushing isnt in backwards, it's easy to do and really screws up the angles putting stress on the r-arm. This could make it squeel.

Try the spray/grease. But also, make damn sure the squeak is coming from the arm. Check the frame for cracks around the track bar mount. Just a thought. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
