Post Ranger solid axle swap questions...

About six months ago I did my SAS, and I am still working out some bugs. Here's the latest...Now that I finally have the front end working the way I want it, the diff is hitting the crossmember on compression... I already had to cut the front of it to clear the trac bar, but now it hits in the back!!! Has anyone had this problem??? The front is a D44 from a 76 Bronco the springs are 6" lift made for the ranger. Help me.
In search of inches.....

try posting over on this page http://board.rrorc.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi There are alot of rangers over there with solid fronts. You could also hack away the bacl of it and the plate what is left maybe. Or add a spacer between the radius arms and the coil spring. Just some ideas. I know I need to figure these out when I do my swap within the next year as well. Have any pics of your truck?

Thanks for the help, the only problem with cutting mor is the strength of that crossmember. But that looks like my easiest option. And yes you need to do your swap... It is the best thing I have done to my truck since I bought it. TTB sucks. But if you do end up keeping your IFS for awhile I have a bunch of parts...springs, tubular radius arms brackets etc.. thanks for your help I will keep you posted.. and no I have no way to post any pics...
