Question lifting '01 Ranger

Does anyone know of any company that makes a suspension lift for a 2001 Ranger. Or a leveler kit maybe? <IMG SRC="smilies/skull.gif" border="0">

The only GOOD suspension lift would be Superlift. It's a 4" kit, and is only the front. It costs around $1200. It really doesn't add any flex, and the torsion bars remain close to where they are right now.

If I had a 98+ Ranger 4x4, and planned to lift, it would probably be only a 3" body lift and 33's. I don't think the suspension lift is worth the money.

As far as leveling goes, my only 2 suggetions are crank the torsion bars (stiffens ride) or take out the overload leaf in the rear.

for some more great Ranger info. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

OK, so how do you crank the torsion bars? And about how much lift will this create?
Enough for 31's? <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0">

31's will fit stock. not much difference between my 31's and my 235 spare. you can get 1-2" of lift from the bars but the higher you go the more your kidneys will suffer. i believe there is a write-up at www.therangerstation.com on the bars. 33's will fi with minimal rubbing on the flaps with a bodylift.

Suspension lifts for IFS rangers are mostly for looks as the drop brackets on the torsion bar mounts keep those at the stock height meaning you dont really get any extra clearance... all you get is better looks and more top heavy... id just crank the bars and get add a leafs in the rear then you can clear 32"s no problem.
