Wink questions about Dana 60 Axles

I have a closed knuckle drum brake Dana 60 I want to convert to open knuckles and disk brakes, anybody have any ideas about how to go about it??? Where to get the parts??

Sorry but I don't think that is a practical swap. The closed knuckle 60's may be 30 spline I think they are so change spider gears. Axle shafts need to be changed because the closed knuckle used the small ujoints same as a dana 44 the end of the housing that has the ball for the closed knuckle would need to be cut off and the open knuckle component welded on. Then everything knuckle out would have to be replaced with late model stuff. It would be cheaper to just get a complete open knuckle 60 and use that.

You will need a 60 for the parts so you gain nothing. If you can find someone who made a rear out of a RC60 then they should have the parts you need.
