Question NV4500 in a 2.9 V6 Ranger?

Just wandering if anyone has done it or anyone thought about it?

I believe it would be possible, as far as mechanically, though the clearance issues might be a problem due to the height of the unit and the length of the shift throw. You'd need to find a bellhousing that will (1) bolt to your tranny (2) will meet AA's specs for the adapter plate or bolt directly to an NV4500 and then finally find a clutch of the tiny size used in the rangers with the correct splines for such a big transmission.

My first response is WHY???
