New Guy in town
Well fellas i sold the mustang and decided its time to try somethin different
. I picked up a 78 Bronco for 1000$ with a 351M, 9 inch rear, D44 front, and NP235 i think T-Case. It looks like a good rig to start off with, the motor is strong and it runs (and wheels) great. I just got the Superlift 6 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body, and some 38.5 swampers on rock crawlers but its not on yet. Any advise or tips would be great

As for what you were expecting, well you idiotic chickenfawker; if you would have taken the time to look around, you would have found a thread already started so you could have stroked your vagina there instead of being an attention whoring bandwidth waster by starting this abortion of a clusterfawk. Sell it to someone who knows how to wheel, put your tail between your legs and go get your mustang back

Ok i give, but my screen name stays gay or not. What i really wanted by posting was good info (which i got) and to meet some of you guys, but a misunderstanding lead to a few bad replys. Soooo lets call a truce and get back to 4x4 talk? What do ya say?

I'm willin' to bet you have an NP435 tranny. Granny 4 speed? Also a NP205 transfercase. Both strong as you'll be needing. Take the advice on the 36" tires as the D44 won't handle the 38.5's unless you are truely unbelievable on them and don't really wheel it, except at the local mall.
Other than that you have a decent setup.

Sorry, the NP435 is a manual 4 speed. I assumed there and it now showes. Anyways the C6 is a great tranny for an auto, just make sure to keep it cool and you'll be ok, as long as you're not lookin' for too much MPG outta the truck. And no, it isn't a granny low.... As for Bubba, he's a pretty good guy from what I know, just doesn't like new guys tryin' to go givin' him shit when they shouldn't be.

As to the C6, mine was a bitch to keep cool offroad. In my case, that was largely due to my high stall, but I'd recomend a deep alum pan, and a dedicated cooler wfan for anybody running a C6, especially with a heavy rig.
