Hooking up brakes after a SAS

I need to hook up the brakes from my 78 front dana 44 axle to my 93 F-150. I was hoping I'd be able to simply walk into the local parts store and get the correct lines and connections to make everything work. That would have been too easy... No one there was really able to help me, and they didn't have anything that would work.

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction to where I can find everything that I'll need to make this work? Basically I'll need every brake part from the hard and soft lines, to all the propper connections between the calipers up to the Master Cylinder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry it this is too n00bish, I've never messed with anything related to the brakes before, so this has been a good learning experience....

get stock lines for the axle you have, including the one that goes from pumpkin to frame. Then all you have to do is go from MC to that frame connetion, you may have to go to NAPA or something and get a line and some fitings so you have the right fittings and bend your own. its not hard at all.

napa has everything to do a stock type plumbing job. the monkey at the counter doesn't know that they do is the problem. why not give tonyk at rock equipment a call and use his braided lines?

Yeah I don't have a problem bending and flairing my own tubing, but I still need all the connections and fittings to make it all work. That's where I ran into the problems. I walked in with the old rotted and broken lines and fittings from the axle and basically told them what I needed. We searched through every fitting they had and nothing worked. They did have SS hard lines, but no fittings for it to connect to the soft lines going to the calipers.

As soon as I got the dumb look from the people at the store when I said I had a 78 axle under a 93 150, I figured I wouldn't get much help....

Thanks for the suggestion larryboy, I'll definitely check into it...

I just reused the TTB brake calipers and lines on my SAS. Works fine.

I got new calipers for the axle, so I'm gonna stick with them. From what I've been reading, it looks like the fittings are the same from the lines to the calipers on both axles. Looks like all I need are some extended lines to run from the current position down to the new calipers. Still searching and reading though...
