Hi everyone,
I've got what I *think* is a 1980-81 8 lug semi floater from an F250. I was going to have this axle cut down and have 9" ends put on it, and then disc brakes. I don't think the 9" housing end thing is going to be a big deal, but what about using those axle shafts? Will they be able to turn them down and re-drill them to be 5 on 5.5, or will I have to get new 9" axleshafts? Does anyone know off hand if this is a 30 or 35 spline axle? BTW, anyone besides Currie make those housing ends? $75 sounds a little steep. Thanks in advance, Bryan |

They are actually a 31 spline axle, and Dana/Spicer used to be the only ones to make them..... now no one does. They are a small axle with a really bad "neck down" right before the splines. Don't use em, you'll regret it.
If those 9" ends are the billet ones, then $75.00 is a really good price.
