Not enough gear and maybe torque convertor too low a stall . A c6 will eat about 20hp more than a c4 . At least 1700 is nice in a rockcrawler and maybe more if you dont do gears. Spend it now or spend it later ,

I have good oil pressure and this is the stock 93 5.0. I had this motor in with a 435 dana 20 with 4.11 gears and had power to spare. Now I can't even roll up onto my trailer. I had the tranny built with the lowest planetary gears and rebuilt the 205. ????? could it be I'm not geared low enough with the 205? Thanks for your help

how is the power once you get the tires moving? If its just lacking off the line power but has good power when rolling or if you break the tires loose I would say a looser torque converter will help alot.
Any idea of the specs on your current converter? your gearing is less then great but should be able to get around better then what your describing.

Sounds like something is wrong in the trans. The tires are a little big for 4.88's and a small block. Have you ran codes on the engine? Might be something simple like a clogged fuel filter.
