Post Dana 60 ?????

Ok guys, please help out an uneducated rice burner. I am looking for a dana 60 front, driverside 3rd. ie FORD. My question to you is what did these come in, what years are high pinion, what years are kingpin vs balljoint, and what years are TTB?
Thanks in advance

78/79 and 86-97 were Reverse cut, in 78/79 they came in someF250's and all F350's. In 86-97 they only came in F350's.

I beleive they were kingpin up until 92' then they switched to balljoint.

they never madea D60 TTB...only 44 and 50

The only real advantage with kingpins I can see for our application is it's much easier to install high steer arms on then. On the balljoint knuckles you have to machine the knuckle a bit to accept the arms.

One more thing you might want to consider...
The 78/79 were leaf sprung and the newer ones were coil sprung.

You must be thinking about the TTB F-250 and F-350. They had coils. All Ford D60 fronts were leafs

ball joints are good if your not running 40's, 44's, ect. and side loading them (driving sideways on hills washouts rock crawling, ect.) the only thing i liked better about balljoints was they are a hell of alot easier to change a ball joint as opposed to kingpins...lol

There is so much mis-information in this thread it should have stayed buried back in 2001, but thank you for your pearls of wisdom oh king of search.
