EFI question

Hello, I have a question about my 302 EFI setup in my jeep. When its idleing it pulses up and down a few hundred RPM every so often. Any ideas on how to fix it?

possibly clean the IAC on the side of the throttle body... but there is a certian type of cleaner to use i just cannot think of it off the top of my head.. also may want to check to see if it is throwing codes if you have the whole EFI harness including all the relays and end plugs for checking codes...

Yeah I have a motorsports harness...the only codes it throws are canister and EGR, both of which are not on there. I thought it might be compensating for the compressioni, stroke, and cam selection. I will have to check that module tonight..thanks

has it done this before or have you just installed the engine?

if just installed you may need to stick a resistor in the EGR plug to make the computer think that it is operating correctly

Mine does that when I have the idle too high. It acts like the computer is trying to lower the idle, but it cant because I have it idled up. Turned idle down and it stopped.
