easy PCV valve question
I have an 86 bronco II with the 2.9 and after getting it started since sitting for a while, I noticed it was running rough, and noisier then I remember. So I located the noise and it was coming from the top of the PCV, as soon as put my finger over the whole on the top of the valve the noise went away and the engine purred like a kitten. My vacuum diagram shows there is is suppossed to be a line from the TB to the PCV but I can't find it. There is a large line connected to the base of the valve that gets manifold vacuum but this connection on top of the valve is small, maybe 1/4" I cannot find anything missing on the TB and wanted to know if a rubber plug/ cap on the PCV valve will fix my idle / noise problem. Any help would be appreciated. and yes I already tried looking over at the ranger station. Thanks in advance.
Chris
