Push the damn button! Warn manual hubs are the greatest thing to ever happen to an explorer.. so put them on anyway. If it doesnt do anything when you push the button, have somebody push it over & over while you whack the shift motor with a rubber mallet or softly with a dead blow.

You guys are making too big of a deal outta this. You'll feel it bind if the gears are different, & you cant fuck up the hubs unless theyre already broken. Ill bet the shift motor is tempermental & sometimes doesnt come outta 4x4 or something stupid..
