Holy shit, I don't believe it! Cool to see it back out taking a beating, but what happened to the sheet metal? Thought you were gonna put the hood, fenders & grill back on.

I havn't for a while since the rig was down, but I still talk to them from time to time. I'm sure I'll be at the stampede this year since she's running again.

yea, it'll take me a while still before she's ready to play hard. Biggest holdbacks on that is no floorboards & no boatsides yet but I wanted to see what was going to clear before I put that much work into it. Good thing too, both front tires hit the cage harder than I expected & I cut a bunch of tubing back off. Running the Ajax's tomorrow & if everything clears I'll start building everything else up.

nah, I only change engines when they start making bad noises. I just put new plugs & wires in this one so it's almost like it's brand new!
I would like to get a 400 back in it though, this 351 is a bit underpowered for running the roads getting to the trails.

If you still have the Astro van bench, would you mind posting it's overall width? I need a low-buck bench seat for occasional rear passenger use. That unit looks like it would fit the bill if it was 48" or less wide.

Went out & ran Ajax with the Blazer crowd yesterday, I think all my clearance issues are resolved & I can finish up the boatsides now. Pictures are Here.

Well - it may be underpowered, but at least it's still ugly! You'll want more power as soon as you start hitting some of these new trails with the big vertical stuff...

Hey Matt, I just had a better idea. The whole buggy idea I had earlier was stupid, everybody's got one. Keep it the way it is & put a pickup bed back on it. Kinda like what every body does with keeping the cab & doing a tube flat bed, but in reverse.
