Did You Know D44 Ifs Track Lock

YA so i was installing my track lock in my 89 1/2 ton this week and as i attemped to install the single axel c-clip it would not go no matter what i did it just would not go. so called my trusty friends at Holebrook spiecialties in clackamas OR to clear up this matter.

they told me that my only option was to take apart the unit and grind down the side gear with an angle grinder, or

to do it the easy way, all you need to do is find a sprind the will fit inside the diamater of the passanger side slip yoke of the axel shaft. now don't be stupid and grab a valve spring or some rediculusly hard sping. it only needs to be fairly tough, good rule of thumb it one you can compress with your thumb and index finger. it only needs to hold the axel from sliding out on extreme articulation. there is not a hole lot of play in the slip yoke any way so a spring that is about 1" to 1 1/2" will work perfect.

well thats my two cents.
