86 F-250 smog pump removal
I recently put new heads on my 86 F-250 5.8L and removed the smog pumps and emission controls. There was a lot of vaccuum lines from the emission controls that I disconnected and plugged. Now the engine runs fine at idle, but stalls or backfires and dies when I open the throttle--the engine won't rev at all. I am thinking it is a vaccuum issue to the carb, does anyone have a vaccuum diagram for this truck? or any ideas about what the problem could be?
