Were all 77.5 thru 79 F250 Dana 44's hi-pinion

One hundred miles is a long way to go just to find out it isn't. If they were than I'm all over it. If you can help, thank you.

yes they were. but make sure its 77.5 cus 77 werent

Wasn't that the D60 that went from low to high pinion in 77.5? I thought the full width 44's were high pinion way back to the 60's. I could very easily be wrong. Need to check Mr.N's page.

Get teh BOM from the guy if it's a long trip.

I've seen a 1970 axle under a 78 in a junk yard. Also Got my 1990 Dana 60 from under a 1982 F250. Point is people swap axles as it's sometime cheaper than doing a gear swap, so make sure you check.

not sure about the 60 lp hp thing but i have a 76 with a lp 44 and i found an axle in the dirt the r&p stated 77 and it was hp.

but yes im pretty sure all 100 and 150's were all hp.
