Tapping superduty box for hydro
Anyone have pics, etc on where to tap a superduty steering box for hydro assist.
I've searched all over the net with no luck and i'd rather do it myself than buy an overpriced kit. Thanks

Probably because the pump is marginal at best with stock size wheels. Also with the brakes being hydro boost the pump is pretty much maxed out. You add a hydro assist to it and it just can't provide the flow.

The pump must not be a total pos because ORU makes a hydro assist kit. I'm just not willing to lay down a grand plus for something I can fab myself.....if I can figure out where to tap the box that is.

I don't think the box is EXACTLY the same, but it looks similar enough that this might be of some help.

Thanks for the link, that does look similar. I'll have to get the box on the bench to really be able to compare.
