Taurus goodies, right stuff?

After reading about taurus alternators, I decide to goto the local pick'n'pull and picked up 2 alternators (one is kinda beat, needs bearings I think) and a taurus fan. Just wanted to make sure that I got the right taurus fan (3 wire?) Also, the alternator on the left is from a taurus with a build date of 7/92 (the small tab is threaded, better for a swap?), and the one on the right is from a later model (not sure, the driver's door was gone, and I forgot to look at the shroud). Any preferences on which one to use to retrofit a 1G? thanx

they are the 3G ones. They are 2 wire. Battery and ignition. You could wire the ignition to the hot, but it would drain your battery slowly.

I am going to post a faq on how to rebuild them. I find out that there are two ways. one is very bad. good thing they are only $17 a pop at the pick'n'pull.
