Track Bar Bushing

I am having some trouble with my track bar bushing. They don't last very long. I have 35 boggers and no lift locked front and rear. Anyone else have these problems and what is the best way to fix it? Just replace the bushing now and then or is there a better solution?

Make a new mount on the axle and run a heim on the axle end. This will at least mean you only have to replace one bushing instead of two.

Is your front moved forward/backwards? Looking at the truck on level ground, does the bar itself appear to be inline and no bind on the bushings? Are you cranking everything down too tight? Ive beat the crap out of mine for 5 years on a set of poly bushings before they ever needed replacement so id say you have a problem somewere...

My EB used to eat trackbar bushings annually. I would upgrade to heims and never look back.

I had the same problem on my F-150. Run heims and forget about it. My truck drove so much better after I ditched the bushings.

It is specificly the bushing on the top end by the box. After a month or 2 of wheelin it just gets a lot of play in it.

Where is a good place to get some heims from, and what should I be looking to spend for some?

As far as the axle being moved it is stock. No lift or any mods except for the tires and lockers

Yeah, I always had problems with the upper bushing failing and went with heims both ends.
In the porcess I raised the axle end and ditched the drop trac bracket. Then did tie rod over coversion.

Gotta do that to my EB as well, the whole process of raising axle end.

Bulletproof makes a drop in trackbar out thickwall DOM tubing. I recommend doing that if you are not confident in your fabrication skills. I believe Stonecrusher also makes trackbars.

I'm not worried about my fab skills. Just curious if anyone knows off hand what heims work the best. I haven't had a chance to measure anything and compare.

I was kind of looking over both of those websites, and they have some good looking products. i think I'm almost to the point of needing to replace my tie rods and if i do I think I might just buy one of those whole kits. I think it would cost me almost as much to go down to my local parts store and get all the tie rods new.

Thanks For The Info

My dads been using the Bulletproof for 5+ years and 45,000 miles with no problems. Drives it thousands of miles from Canada to Baja. All the heims are still tight. He uses their tie rod, draglink and track bar.
