what do you guys think a 84 svo engine worth, complete with harness and computer. the thing runs great but the turbo needs some workin on.

The '84 will have the smaller vane air meter and fuel injectors (30lb/hr). If you're getting the whole motor w/ computer, air meter, and harness, I wouldn't pay more than $500, but that's generous. The later SVO (85.5-86)and TurboCoupe (87-88) had the bigger injectors (35 lb/hr) and VAM. It's not hard to swap them, but you'll have to get the matching computer. I'd look for another good turbo cheap ($100-$200) or have that one rebuilt ($300+). Check out http://www.turboford.net.
