Question about rear D60's

Alright, my brother is thinking about using a dana 60 in the rear of his trail rig project. He was wondering what are the widths of the various 60's(wms-wms) pickups, vans, etc.

Also are there any DRW dana 60s? He's using a DRW chevy 60 in the front and I think its ~75" WMS-WMS. So he needs a rear 60 that will be close to that.
Thanks

rear 60 is not a good choice
tiny axle shafts and the spindle doesnt accept te bigger ones unless you bore them out
get a d70, the d70 is definitely available in drw and srw and accepts the 1.5" shafts

Well he was talking with a guy that he has bought some parts from before. The guy said he could hook my brother up with a 60 and he will bore it out to accept the bigger shafts (he's a machinist)

GM used a 60 in some cube vans that came stock with 1.5" 35 spline shafts and was DRW, good luck finding one. It used the same shafts that came in a 70HD so its a wide rear end.

I agree, a D70 or D80 would be a better choice for a DRW truck, and much less work to adapt (hubs, axles etc)

I have a new D80 in the for sale section, but it's pricey (it's brand new)

You could come get it and save shipping though.

It's 73.5" WMS-WMS, but has Ford 8X170mm bolt pattern

Actually my brother's going a different route, but thanks anyway. He's going to use a van 14-bolt 70" WMS-WMS and maybe use small spacers

No, he got a drw front 60 so he decided that he's going to run hummer wheels rather than try and convert the front to srw

I've come across that DRW D60 before in the shortbus/schoolbus configuration.
