and now i need a new sawzall -
its 15 years old and didnt like it ![]() ![]() ![]() only the rear will be cut this way - the front im going to borrow a real grover and just kiss them on the lugs, as i dont want to much "bite" on the front as its going to be running factory shafts for now - will post up a pic when i get them done i also got the srw hubs on - with new bearing, seals, and turned the rotors - i lucked out as my parts truck and new brakes in the front, including rotors so i just turned them at work to get rid of the rust.

well a few more pics - the finished tires - thanks to trailer guy for lending me his iron, as the sawzall was kicking my ass and wouldnt cut the tread very deep, as the outer tread gets in the way.
![]() ![]() the removed rubber - and that is a 205 in the pic ![]() and one of the front end with the srw hubs - now the front and the rear will be getting spacers - 1.75 in the rear ( for shock room ) and 1.25 in the front to even it out. SRW ![]() DRW

a few more
![]() ![]() ![]() the front will not be cut like the rear, as i dont want the extra traction at first, as i will be running the factory 30 spline outers for some time - the front will also be open as i dont want to be replacing stubs every trip - but it will get a detroit and longs if my taxes work out in the next year or so - its worth the wait, i might go 35 spline outers with factory inners if i break alot - but thats after it moves under its own power

Just caught up on what you've done since I left in October. I'm jealous!!!
The lines you've achieved on the front end & doors are freakin' perfect, man. Wicked cool.

That thing is looking good, I got to see it in person last weekend, and I have to say its coming along, progress will be held up a bit though, dont you have a jeep rear to fix
good trip though, maybe that is the motivation that you needed to finish your shit up, you missed out on the night run though, that was some good shit, either way man, let me know what I can do, you do know I have access to a CNC now get it done, maybe in a week or two we can have a day at your place, BBQ and get some help on your rig to get it done, I still have those pane tanks and pane line if you are interested.

well i got the air shocks on friday and went to work this morning. got the upper mounts on and the lowers tacked. i cycled the suspension and all looks good. it is close to the frame at full droop, but it clears by around 1/2" - ill get the lowers braced a little and post some poser flex shots - but for the night crew - pics
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the upper mount is made from .188 plate and a few sections of 1"- .250" dom sleves that i used to brace and space for clearance - it will get some more bracing on the back side, and from side to side - that will follow after a while ![]()

the lower will look like this - the rear mounting hole is for another shock if i find they start to fade, but most likely it will be used for my redneck sway bar ( aka a mazda b2200 torsion bar )

the rear is near ride height in the pics ( the axle is up around 1.5" ) - at height it has around 6" of shaft ( well it will when the front settles ) more pics tomorrow

well a few more
almost full droop ( the shocks can go 1" more but the rear dosent weigh enough to pull it down - if i stand on it it will go down ) ![]() almost full stuff - even with no / very little charge the truck came off the ground before they bottomed ![]() fex shots - again the shocks wouldnt max out - if i stood on one side it would - so the pics have around 1" more droop, and 3/4 more up ![]() ![]() the lowers will be done like the upper, with some 1"-.250" dom sleeves - and yes it will be double shear - from the looks of it the tire should just rub at full twist, but i planned on running 1.75 spacers in the rear for space - i might wait to finish the lowers untill i get the spacers and rear calipers / mounts on
