1978 Ford F250 Front

Could someone please tell me if 78 F250 was available with automatic locking hubs? If so what is involved to change it over to manual hubs?

No, it was not.

Remove 6 screws, remove outer hub. Remove snap ring and circle ring, remove inner hub. Reverse procedure for installation.

if you have automatic hubs, its because somebody put them on. The swap to manual hubs is easy. Take the old hubs off, put new hubs on. You might need the correct spindle nuts, maybe, but I dunno.

It could have had full-time hubs though... domed chrome/steel cap without markings?

We aren't mind readers. You have to look and find out for yourself. I'm guessing 44.
