I never heard of one under a Ford, but I know that this axle is under a Ford f 250. I know it was swaped out before, and assumed it was a Ford axle. I was told that it is definately a CAD axle so it must be out of a dodge. I don't know all the specifics of why it was swaped out. I can pick up this axle cheap but am not liking the CAD if it can't be eliminated. I read somewhere that it could be replaced with a solid axle shaft on the long side, thereby making it full time 4x4. Is this true and is it worth the time and money saved? I can also pick up the D 60 ff rear with it. They are geared the same which will work for me and save the cost of regearing. So.....what's the verdict on the CAD axle?
