got about 90% of the wiring completed and just couldn't wait any longer to start the engine. I dont' have a gas pedal or throttle linkage (progressive carbs are hooked together) no clutch linkage etc....
1st start adjusted timing, checked for leaks, burned off all the paint on head/exhaust etc.... video is 2nd startup. http://youtu.be/YAIuUnPNIfw also put 9 quarts of gear oil in everything, and installed the Moser shafts....... ![]()

I installed the "hanging pedals" from a 78 ford F-150 and used a power master/booster for brakes awhile ago. I'd planned to use the rods and levers that came with pedals to operate clutch, but after looking at amount of work and modifications i decided to go with a Hydrualic Clutch setup.
so m y search led me to the clutch setup used on 1960 to 68'ish Dodge W300's. It's a 1 1/8" bore master and 1" slave ![]() ![]()

Hi Gregg, glad to see your nearing the finish line on Mater! Last time I saw it in person it still had quite a way to go!
I'm actually living in PA myself now, I brought back an old CJ3B that was built in Spain and sold in Italy, it's going to be my winter project this year. It came stock with a Perkins Diesel engine, so I'm going to have to brush up on my diesel skills! It's a little rough from the OP-Lift, but it made it in one piece! Take it easy, maybe we'll meet up at some point and talk about building crap! Marc |

This is a cool build. I love the 300 with the 3 carbs on the custom intake. Actually the whole thing is trick, I can't really pick out one thing that I like better than the others. its all pretty dang cool.
Great job!

Dude I definitely miss your Jeep, but you have gone so way over the top on this build. You know my physical condition, but watching the start up vid(love the push button start) I swear I almost got wood! I know the technology you have put in this is more modern but it looks like a brand new '53.

I love the truck and I have followed this build for a long time. I still however just don't know what the purpose of the doubler is but hey it's your truck.
