I just rebuilt the kingpins in my 60, filled em up with grease and now they have about 2" or so of play and then it hits a "harder" spot of the stroke. This is when I am pulling them as if they were getting turned, they have a "soft" spot in them it seems like. Is that normal?? I followed billavista's techs
You greased the lower bearings prior to install right?
If you followed his article verbatim, then its probably just kinda stiff and it will break in with a little driving.
I did the KP's on my D60 this winter and noticed the same hard spot you are talking about. I followed the Billavista article to the "T" and only one side does it. I don't give a fawk and I'll see if it does it after I drive the truck up and down the street a few times.
So whatever info you get, i'll be watching and reading and using... Thanks for starting this thread
