A friend of mine has been hired to put a 351W EFI, E40D, and BW1356 out of a 1994 F150 into an Early Bronco. I believe it is a 74. It was originally equipped with a 302,c4, and dana 20. I can see no way that this combination is going to fit. It just seems too long. Anyone know anybody who has done such a conversion? links, photos, etc...
Also, anyone used a good stand alone harness for a factory EFI system?
My friend thinks the customer would be better off going with the C4 and dana 20 and just using the 351 EFI motor stand alone. Actually, his real feeling is the guy should have just built a higher HP 302 and left the rest of the drivetrain in tack.
Body is straight. It has a lift and 35" BFG MTs. He has the bolt on fiberglass flares that he wants to keep. My initial reaction was to cut the rear wheel wells back and add length to it. I don't think that is an option with this guy though.
The problem my mechanic friend has is that he is trying to please a customer that doesn't have very realistic expectations.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
