I know this maybe a newbie question but before I buy the truck. Will a 351W bolt to a inline 6 tranny. The tranny is a 5 speed so I am guessing a N435 without looking at the truck, am I right or wrong?

The engine will bolt to the tranny, not 100% sure on the engine mounts though. NP435s are 4 speeds. Depending on the pickup its a mazda 5spd or a ZF 5spd.

Its a 84 f-150 but it maybe a four speed, thanksfor clearing up the tranny problem.

the motor mounts are diffrent, but bolt in the same location. if you buy the motor mounts for the same year truck with the 351 it should all bolt up. you have to get a flywheel and diffrent starter if i remember correctly, but the clutch should be the same. at least thats the deal on my 89 6cyl to the 91 v8
