I'm getting the the spindles on my rear 60 bored out, i'm trying to find a place with a good price to get some 35 spline rear shafts. Randy's ring and pinion is listing some yukon shafts for $260 each! They need to be 35 inches long or so, with an 8 lug pattern. Does anyone even sell stock spicer shafts?
yes a lot of people sell the stock spicer shafts
see if MrN's site has a part number listed for the length you need
Dana 70 will be the stock application for 35splines
RJR.....I went thru this whole same scenario. You may be able to learn from my errors. After boring spindles on D60 -1.560 I.D.- Yukon 35 spline cut to fit axles just barely fit. No room for any deflection/error. Spindle was TOO THIN @ THREADS.:mad3: I WAS EXTREMELY CONCERNED w/spindle failure. Had already paid for Detroit/gear install. Finally found D70 to utilize spindles/hubs/shafts from 72' Dodge motorhome. Created D60/D70 hybrid:
D60 center/35 spline Detroit/D70 spindles/shafts etc.Should have started w/correct housing. Would have saved$$$$$$.
