Found one of these in the scrap pile at the junkyard. I assume it has a bad bearing in it, thats why its there.

I found the seal and bearing kit for it for about $120. I know this would be a good way to get an ebrake setup for those (like me) who are too cheap to do an ebrake on rear disc setups. I have done a little bit of research on these however, and found that they only hold 1/2 pint of fluid, and when they leak, they normally die before you discover the leak. Is there a oil feed/return mod from trans to ebrake that could lessen the chances of this thing dying? If you keep an eye out for leaks, will this thing last? Are they that prone to leakage and failure? THese things are expensive as hell, I foudn them rebuilt on ebay for $700, and takeouts for $1200. I don't want to know what the stealer wants for one.
