Just thought I'd share some pics of our recent wheeling trip to Potts Mountain. We had 6 Fords (two were 90's models, the rest vintage), two Jeeps and a Yota truggy go, great wheeling and camping.
Yup, thats for sure, its on the edge of a pretty decent cliff. No one in our group made it up the ledge unassisted, the two EB's winched up. I have never seen or heard of anyone making that ledge, its pretty nasty.
I think its time for some sliders on the ol '79, then maybe I'll give the ledge a try. :grinpimp:
The ranger is Eric the Red on here, and the green '78 Bronco truggy is Partsflyin, not sure if the other two EB guys are on here or not.
Really cool area! Awesome pics. Every time I see a built old school Ford I start lusting after them but I have to tell myself I've already got a truck that's not done.
Sweet pics vert!!! Had a blast! Thanks again for the invite. I'll keep ya posted on our plan for Uwharrie.
Were the gnats still thick up there in the clearing Sat. night?
Slim
Naw, up there in the clearing there weren't hardly any bugs at all, I guess because of the altitude. Glad yall could make it up, it was nice seeing all the Fords on the trail.
