Hi,
I have an '88 F250 w/ 5.0 (302) engine that is just acting strange. The problem started a couple of months ago - when first started it would idle really high for a couple of minutes then settle down. As time went on the high idling problem lasted longer and longer when first started. Finally one day about a month ago it just wouldn't start. After sitting about a month I just happen to jump in and turn the key one day and it started and ran for about 30 seconds - it sounded like it ran out of fuel. I though it may be the high pressure fuel pump on the frame rail and pick one up and installed it - still will not start! Last Fall I replaced both tanks and the pumps & all that inside the tanks so the problem shouldn't be there.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
