try looking on craigslist in your area there should be a ton of them.
if you were in oregon there is a complete 78 f-250 for $250 with a straight body. and the axles would be perfect
2wd Rangers have to have the Engine crossmember swapped out for the 4x4 piece to use the TTB axles... Solid axle it or put the ranger body onto the bronco frame...
Agree, put the Ranger cab on the Bronco chassis if the Bronco body is fubared.
I bought a clocking ring for my NP208 from Great Lake Offroad. My TC is now flat with the bottom of the frame rails. Pics of mine in this thread; http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=295010&page=3 Not sure if it will work on your BW case, but it should if you have a C6. Unless they changed the pattern. DIY4x makes a ring as well. http://diy4x.com/drivetrain.htm.
why not just wheel the bronco as is? you're gonna end up fucking the body up anyways, why dick around with swapping bodies? hell sell the straight body of the ranger to fund for some one tons!
the bronco body isnt useable, havin the smal body will kick a$$ where we wheel at, the big k5 blazers & stuff have a harder time, just gonna wheel the balls off of it until im ready to upgrade this winter
I've seen several trucks with the conversion. Autofab has designed and built a kit but it's for 4wd Ranger/Explorer/BII. Converting a 2wd Ranger to 4wd is a pain in the butt.
If I was working with what you've got I'd put the Ranger body on the Bronco chassis.
