1996 F-350 running gear
I'm thinking about buying a 1996 f350- powerstroke, 5 spd. I know the tranny is a zf but i know nuthin about the t-case. What is it? How strong? Also the front axle appears to be a ball joint d-60? I've had king p 60's before are they similar in strength? What are the likely gear ratios in this truck?

t-case should be BW-1356, adequate for the truck depending on what u will use it for. Front axel is a balljoint d60 only difference is the balljoints, strength is the same, some have broken the ball joints in some extreme use depends on what u will use it for. Rear is a sterling 10.25 very strong. 3.55's or 4.11's
