Those hangers look nothing like any Full Traction hangers I have seen. Don't look like Donahoe/Icon either.

I haven't decided what I am going to do with the axles yet. a couple things I have thought of are: building a toyota tube buggy with them under it. just putting them on my toy and getting the inchworm lefty, or trade my buddies 44/9" set up he has on his 83 f-150 for them (he wants to go bigger than 36's), or sell them. not sure yet.

As for the hangers I am not really sure what they are ether. The guy i bought them from off E-BAY said that he thought they were Full Traction. I really don't know but they are stout and give me the extra hight i need.

Ok well they pretty much have to be a pair cause of the odd bolt pattern, I paid $700 for my front 60 without any hubs, which is considered a fairly good deal for it. I bought a 50/10.5 combo for $500, and sold the front for $350, so the rear was $150. I wouldn't trade them for a D44/9" combo unless they were built real well, and even then I would regret it later on down the road when you Needed the 1 tons...

Sick build, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it. But please, no poser shots of you standing by your custom shaved rockwell housing cover throwing Gang signs See below:

I was hoping i could get more for the set. maybe not.
I wont be trading the axles to my buddy. He is broke as shit all the time and I know he will never do the swap.
After reading about the KOH (never heard of it before). I think I am gunna build something along those lines using the axles. later on down the road of course

Thanks for the complement and you wont see any pics like that in this thread for two reasons.
1: I work by my self and 2: I dont like men

Cool build man, love a full bodied full size. One thing I ran into as mentioned earlier, was a lot of spring wrap in the rear. I was runnin 52" michelin's and rocks with a set of 1-ton 63" springs in my rig and still had a lot of spring wrap. Just something to think about. It is not just the fact that u have rocks that give u the wrap as some say, it is the low gearing with the big fucking tires and the long soft springs. Anyway, keep up with the pics, really diggin' it.

Ok so I got some work done today. tried to figure out exactly where the axle is gunna be.

I ended up only able to move the axle forward 1.5" before the spring pin is too close to the back of the axle tube. The tire is about an inch forward of the rear of the fender. Right now I am not particularly happy with it but after I massage the fenders a scotch I think i will be pleased. So this is where its going to be.

If I am not happy with the way it ends up I will probably make a zero rate leaf and move it forward a little more.

and on second thought, since everyone bashes on front blocks, would you consider this a block?

No. I wouldn't.

It is connected to the springs and can not be spit out.
The thickest I would ever make a zero rate would be an inch thick for axle wrap issues.

Oh ok, thats what I was figuring you would say. The one I found on google was an inch thick, and you could offset it 1 inch, or 1.5 Is that the biggest off set you should go with?

Yes that sounds fine to me.

Thats actually how I will make mine if I need them.

Given this is just my opinion. I am sure there are people that don't trust zero rates, and there are probably people that make 5" ones that move the axle 3".

little update.

my buddy from team mexico prepping the spring perch area.

Got the spring perches mounted. 3 X1/2 strap.

Found some zero rates in a set of rear leafs I had laying around and decided to put them in. This ended up being a bad idea. Both pins were rusted in, one turn of the wrench and they both sheered off. that took an extra 20 min. to take the rest of the pins out. at this point I was pretty .

After a couple cigarettes i finally got them out and started putting them back together with the new pins and zero leafs. Drivers side went fine but the passenger side... started out well then when it got to the bottom of the threads started to strip so I sprayed it with lube and went easy (thats what she said). ended up not working for shit and completely stripping out. needless to say this made me very .

You can see mid aftermath in the background.

Anywho after the tantrum I resorted to continue welding the spider gears (taking forever), and finish up a little painting.

I also need to clearance the front engine cross member I was thinking of two different ways. Red is lopping off about 4" from the whole thing. Green is just what I need for the third (it will have less harsh curves cut).

What do you think RED or GREEN?
