Good or Bad Deal????
I have a 94 F-150 X-Cab, 302 4x4 lifted with 38's. I have a causin who wants to trade a 1990 Crew-Cab f-350 Diesel Long Bed stock for my truck + $1000. His truck Body is straight and moto has 150,000+ miles. my truck is desent but could use little work on the body but the moto is strong and has just over 100,000 miles. I am looking at making the deal but want opinions from some truck/car guys/gals before I do.. I dont know much about diesels so any help would be greatful..
My daily driver is a '04 f-150 crew so gas prices right now is not an issue. I was looking at lifting it (if I trade)and putting some 38's or 42's on it. I am wondering if this is a good deal or not. Thanks Mason |

He want's you to give him $1k or he will give you $1K. Kind of difficult to understand what you are saying. But I can't see giving him a lifted truck that is 4 years newer with aftermarket rubber and a $1000 for a 1990.
Now, if he is giving you the money, and you don't have a ton of money in the '94, I'd probably do it. The 1 ton front axle (provided it is 4x4, but you wouldn't be dumb enough to come on here and with a first post mention lifting a 2wd diesel, would yah?) is worth about $800-$1000. IMO a clapped out 1 ton has lots more worthwhile goodies than a clapped out half ton, but no way I would pay money and trade. Later, Jason

Yes it is a 4x4 and yes I pay him $1000. The other part I didn't mention is that he is also trowing in another f-350 that he has for parts that still have the axles on it. So I was looking at selling the axels to make back some of my money. So it would be more or less a staight trade. It's just that when it comes to diesels I'm a bonehead
So I'm want to make sure I wasn't makeing a bad deal.
