d44 ttb bearing removal

ok guys sorry total noob to this here. i searched and couldnt find what i was looking for. im working on a d44 ttb setup trying to remove the bearings and rotor and cant for the life of me figure out how. i know its something super simple and im missing something totally easy. its all the way down to what looks like a circle piece with a bunch of holes in it, is there s special tool needed to remove that????

The circle piece with holes in it sounds like the locking washer. That washer should be just sitting there if you've removed the outer bearing locknut, it should come right out with a screwdriver or other tool to reach in there with.

What year D44 is it? Some of the very late ones ('95, '96 IIRC) had a screwy design on the auto locking hubs, maybe some part of it is still in need of removal (unfortunately I'm not real familiar with these)

its just sitting in there. there should be an adjustment nut, the washer, then another nut.

the grease holds back the washer most of the time. stop being a pussy.
