i thought i better put my project on here sometime

i started with a stock trashed ranger and went from there

here's how it sits now

1988 ranger ex-cab
dana 44 front
built 14 bolt rear
36's
rebuilt 302 v8
ZF 5speed
np 205 case, twin sticked
chevy 63's rear
6" chevy springs front
boxed frame and custom crossmembers
12 volt guy sweet switch panel thing
summit fuel cell
holley elect fuel pump and reg
edelbrock performer and 600cfm carb
etc.

EDIT: In the process...

2x4 subframe and 1.75dom tube frame
2.5 ton rockwells, PSC full hydro steering
48" goodyear at-2a's
Military 5ton Combat wheels recentered
18" King coilovers, 4 link fr/rr
dovetailing both ends (maybe)
exo cage

I'm running 8" over XJ's in mine (same as TJ's) without issue. Of course I dont run rockwells. Jaycar on this board does though and his rides good. Linky to his build.

Did you ever get it rolling on the 36's or are you changing plans in the middle of the build?

I've seen the build on some other board somewhere. Can't remember where. Looks like a sweet plan though. Linkages on the t cases look great. Real clean n shit. Beefy crossmember n whatnot too. Good luck with the dovetailin and beakin front and rear. Only seen a couple do the front and have em come out lookin really clean, so good luck with that. Did you box the whole frame?

Zach

yea its only a maybe on the divetail, i havnt seen a nice lookin doved ranger front yet, rears ive seen look nice. i might just cut my fenders up higher and cut the sides of the grill off.

the frame is boxed from the front all the way to about where the rear leafs start, the bed section can flex and whatnot, i just want the cab section to stay square and strong.
