2000 truck problem

i have a 2000 f-350 with a 7.3 turbo in it. I'll be driving down the road and it will die. Already had the camshaft sensor replaced and had it to an automotive electronics shop. they claimed to have fixed it and stuck me with a 200 dollar bill. Also, when it does die it wont restart unless the wait to start light comes on. Help me.

i have to keep shutting off the ignition if it doesnt come on. if i dont wait, the motor will just keep turning and not catch. when the light is on, then i turn the key, and it fires right up.

I'm trying to rmember something from a long, long time ago, but....check the wiring harness that is wrapped in red tape where it lays on the drivers valve cover and see if it is chaffed through.

Sounds to me to be an electrical issue too. If and when you get it running let it sit and idle while you wiggle the harness around. When it stumbles, sparks or quits the you will have an idea of a place to start. Good luck.
